When I first laid eyes on the Indulge in its pretty looking, unique packaging, I expected it to be a much higher priced item. Bright pink, silicone, a bit funny shaped: it wasn't a toy I would normally pick out for myself. What a pleasent surprise it turned out to be though!
At first, I couldn't get past the odd-looking bulge at the base. After the first use, however, I quickly learned that the bulge carries the vibrations all over the opening and inner lips in the most delicious way. Aside from the bulge, the rest of the toy is pretty straight forward. I loved that the base is firm until about halfway down the shaft, and then it offers enough flexibility to move with me as opposed to being stuck in one ram-rod position like other cheaper toys. Its silicone body is very soft-textured, much softer than any of my previous silicone toys (hence my usual avoidance of the material). And because it is made of silicone, it only had the usual new toy smell, which washed off immediately. It didn't come with any batteries, but that's pretty typical. And since it takes AAs, it wasn't exactly hard to find batteries for it. Inserting the batteries is much easier than most toys (I know, I didn't think it could get much easier either): twist off the end, drop the batteries in, snap it in place again, done. It's certainly the easiest toy out of my collection to reload, so to speak.
Using the toy is just as simple. The bulge makes it easy to hold, and kept my fingers out of the usual wet mess I become down there. I also discovered that a good Kegel squeeze will keep it in place pretty easily. Free hands, yeay! The first time I used it, I spent most of my time trying to figure out angles and positions and all that tactical drivel every woman explores with a new toy. What first amused me was the intensity. "Whisper Quiet" isn't possible with this toy because of the power it has. With the vibrations focused on the tip, it's a small roar when turned on. Once it's in, the sound is much quieter, but my husband and I actually love the volume. It's perfectly acceptable for discreet use behind closed doors, but I wouldn't call it kids-in-the-next-room safe. The volume is appropriate for its strength, as they are indeed very strong.
Ah, the vibrations. This toy has many: three vibration settings, and seven pulsation settings. The pulsations against my G-spot were absolutely mind-blowing in their intensity; it was like every pulse was a surprise. When using it while on my knees above it, I was able to grind against it and literally feel the pulsations everywhere in my lower abdomen. The bulge doesn't quite hit the clit so much as tease it endlessly, which was just as fun. The second time I used it, I decided to try it anally, as I know from experience that it can be infinitely more intense back there. Oooooh yes, it makes an absolutely terrific anal toy. It was like the pulses were traveling up my spine. It's sadly terrible for double penetration with a partner, however. My husband could only tolerate being stabbed in the stomach for so long. But combined with a regular non-vibrating dong up front, it was phenomenal. It's a lot of fun with or without someone else controlling it, really. My husband just liked to change the pulse patterns on me without warning, just to see my face. He was also able to find all sorts of delectable angles for me that I couldn't achieve on my own. It does not, however, make a very good clit vibrator during sex. While it is very intense, the motor is a little too far south on the shaft to work as well as I prefer.
I feel this toy is very much worth the price. It's great quality, easy to take care of (antibacterial dish soap and warm water, and it's all clean again), and really, just the pulsations alone are worth good money. I'm glad this toy was my first time with pulsations. It was quite the eye-opener, and now has me on the prowl for other similar toys. I might just buy one of the other Synergytoys with the clit tickler attached after this!
