As a parent of a teenager I know how difficult it is to talk to your kid about sex and age appropriate behavior, consent, respect and the culture of ignorance in this country does not help us. John Oliver nails it in this piece. When ignorance rears it head it is up to us to tell school boards, schools and teachers that fact not wishing and fantasy need to be taught without shame. Kids are not stupid until we teach them ignorance.
