Thank you, 2014 was wonderful.

  As 2014 winds down I wanted to once again say thank you for your continued support of Fantasy Gifts. It has been a busy year for us as we worked to get new websites up, increase our social media presence and of course run the actual brick and mortar stores. We had a wonderful Pride celebration in June and in the office a marriage and an engagement. We are saying goodbye to the TCBA (Twin City Bridal Association) after two decades as we want to focus on new ways of meeting our customers but wish them well into the future. They were the first show to not freak out about Fantasy Gifts and led to other venues such as Girls Night Out, Booty Cruise and a local convention called Crypticon. We had a massive cleaning and reorganization of our warehouse in Minnesota and that was hard work, so much was tossed out or recycled that it is so much easier to locate a needed item.

The new website is up and running, not as fast as we would like but we are working on it. Our partner site is functioning and we will be adding more items to our local site as we fix the speed issue. What you may or may not notice is that the entire site is secure, not just the check-out which is thru paypal and at no time does Fantasy Gifts have access to your credit information.  There is a newsletter sign up on the site which we are not sure how we will use it, for the most part we have had a difficult time getting folks to sign up for emails and newsletters in the stores and the subject matter and even our name sends stuff to spam files. If we start to use this feature it will be maybe one time a month to start and we would feature new product, maybe and interesting study on sexual health or a special deal or maybe this blog which covers these items.

We had our first big anniversary Party in August at our Coon Rapids location and had a blast with all the fun folks who came out to help with it from Topco, ECN, WET, System Jo and were blown away at the amount of merchandise they and other companies gave for gift baskets and give a ways. Thank you also to Doc Johnson, NS Novelties, Screaming O, Aneros, Pjur, California Exotic Novelties.  We hope to do it again in August 2015. Hopefully this time the food truck will show up!

Projects for 2015 include facelifts and painting at several stores, increased social media and searching out new and innovative product for the stores. Websites are never done of course so we will continue to improve those. 

  A big thank you has to go out to all of the companies who make the great product that you find in the stores and the website and provide great training to our employees thru out the year with seminars and many samples for each of the folks. ECN(East Coast News)  is a great friend to FG they are the company that organized the seminars and arrange for companies such as Doc Johnson, Wevibe, Screaming O, System Jo, California Exotic Novelties, Wicked, Adventure Industries, Xgen to present information to our employees. 

Which brings me to the employees the folks that make it possible for Fantasy Gifts to exist; we can only have multiple locations because we have wonderful women and men who work for us. It is a very different sales job than a lot of retail, to be comfortable with questions about the intimate products to learn about thousands of items, to the daily customer interactions it is a tough but fun job and I very much appreciate all of you. The office staff, I have said it before, choosing the merchandise mix is so much more difficult than it was when I did it years ago, and there is so much to do with managing the stores, finding the right phone plan, medical plan and creating the ads and website graphics, FG has the most amazing people in the office too.
